The Air Jordan 1 Low OG 'Rookie of the Year' (2025) honors a pivotal moment in Michael Jordan’s legacy, reinterpreting the famed colorway from the 2018 Air Jordan 1 High with a low-top silhouette tailored for today’s sneaker culture. Celebrating Jordan’s outstanding rookie season in 1985—when he earned NBA Rookie of the Year honors—the 2025 edition blends iconic heritage with a fresh lifestyle appeal, making it a must-have for collectors and new enthusiasts alike.
Overview
This modern low-top iteration retains the hallmark "Golden Harvest" and "Black" color scheme that nods to the suede jacket Jordan wore during his Rookie of the Year award speech. Featuring a premium white leather base paired with buttery Golden Harvest nubuck overlays, the sneaker delivers a timeless contrast and texture. Black leather Swooshes, matching laces, and a black heel tab bearing the Wings logo add to its classic aesthetic, while the Nike Air tongue tag reinforces the OG identity. Underfoot, a clean white midsole is paired with a black rubber outsole for durability and style. Staying true to the original low OG construction, this version boasts a traditional low-cut collar and remastered shape that prioritizes both heritage and comfort.
Key Highlights
• Tribute to MJ’s 1985 Rookie Season: Inspired by the outfit worn during his Rookie of the Year acceptance speech, tying back to the original high-top release from 2018.
• Premium Leather and Suede Build: Combines white leather with Golden Harvest nubuck overlays for a heritage-driven yet refined look.
• OG Low-Cut Silhouette: Retains the original Jordan 1 Low shape and branding elements, including the Nike Air tongue label and embroidered heel Wings logo.
