The ASICS Gel-Kayano 14 'Sneaker Politics Just Say No' (2025) unites the Japanese performance giant with famed boutique Sneaker Politics for one of the year's most talked-about takes on the revived Y2K runner. Referencing the famous "Just Say No" campaign of the 1980s, the collaboration flips a piece of American pop history into a wry commentary on hype-driven consumption, urging collectors to buy with intention. Released on 22 March 2025, it stands among the most distinctive GEL-Kayano 14 collaborations to date.
Overview
Dressed in the official Cream/Pure Gold colourway under style code 1203A692-100, the shoe builds on a cream mesh base wrapped in metallic silver overlays across the toe and eyestays. Black and gold hit the midfoot Tiger Stripes, while fiery red details on the heel overlay and tongue badging deliver the palette's boldest statement. Beneath sits a vintage-tinted cream midsole housing ASICS' signature GEL cushioning, finished with a black, red and cream outsole for grip and durability. The result is a retro-runner silhouette that pairs as easily with denim and workwear as it does with technical fits. Every pair is authenticated by hand at PUSHAS, so you can shop with confidence.
Key Highlights
• Cultural Storytelling: Inspired by the 1980s "Just Say No" campaign, the design reframes a familiar slogan as a message about mindful choices in sneaker culture.
• Premium Mixed Materials: Cream mesh, metallic silver overlays and gold-accented Tiger Stripes create a rich, vintage-leaning execution with striking red contrast.
• Proven GEL Comfort: ASICS' celebrated GEL cushioning sits within the aged cream midsole, delivering all-day comfort in a Y2K-era package.
• Cult Collaboration: A limited Sneaker Politics collaboration released in March 2025, making it a genuine collector's piece within the GEL-Kayano 14 lineage.
