The ASICS Gel‑NYC “atmos Hyozan” (2025) is a collaborative reinterpretation of ASICS SportStyle’s heritage‑meets‑performance lifestyle silhouette, brought to life with Japanese boutique atmos’ creative vision and a striking iceberg‑inspired aesthetic. Drawing from the enigmatic beauty and silent strength of icebergs — encapsulated in the Japanese term “Hyouzan” (氷山) — this edition infuses meaning into form, symbolizing stability, invisible potential and quiet power beneath the surface.
Overview
Building on the foundational ASICS Gel‑NYC platform — itself a fusion of design cues from the GEL‑Nimbus 3 upper, MC‑PLUS V detailing, and the GEL‑Cumulus 16 tooling — the atmos Hyozan introduces a refined white, grey and deep blue colorway that evokes the layered hues of an iceberg on the horizon. The crisp white mesh and neutral overlays are punctuated by vivid blues on the heel and visible GEL unit, grounding the sneaker’s narrative in both concept and visual impact. The custom insole features an iceberg graphic floating on water, reinforcing the theme of unseen strength and depth. Underfoot, lightweight foam paired with ASICS’ signature GEL™ cushioning delivers all‑day comfort that matches its conceptual depth, making it as functional as it is expressive.
Key Highlights
Iceberg‑Inspired Theme: Named “Hyouzan” (氷山) and executed in a palette of white, grey and deep blues to mirror the serene yet powerful presence of icebergs.
Heritage Meets Modern Comfort: Combines GEL‑Nimbus 3‑inspired upper design with GEL‑Cumulus 16 tooling and GEL™ cushioning for a balance of retro aesthetics and performance comfort.
Collaborative Design Detail: Features an exclusive custom insole graphic and thoughtfully curated color blocking, underscoring the atmos reinterpretation of the Gel‑NYC silhouette.
