The BAPE Shark Tee 'Black' stands as one of the most iconic and instantly recognizable streetwear staples from A Bathing Ape’s illustrious catalog. First introduced in the early 2000s, the Shark motif has since evolved into a hallmark of BAPE's bold and graphic-driven aesthetic. This black tee, emblazoned with the full-zip Shark Face graphic across the chest, showcases the Japanese brand’s masterful blend of pop culture, military inspiration, and premium craftsmanship.
Overview
Crafted from 100% heavyweight cotton, the BAPE Shark Tee 'Black' delivers both durability and structure, maintaining its shape over time. The shirt features the infamous Shark graphic—a motif originally adapted from World War II fighter plane nose art—printed in vivid detail across the front, with the zipper illustration dividing the open-mouthed shark face symmetrically. A subtle woven BAPE tag near the hem authenticates the piece, while the classic crewneck cut ensures a comfortable, everyday fit. Made in Japan, this tee captures BAPE's commitment to premium quality and streetwear heritage. Its monochromatic colorway also allows the bold graphic to take center stage, making it a must-have for collectors and fans of Japanese streetwear.
Key Highlights
• Iconic Shark Graphic: Features the legendary full-zip Shark Face print across the chest—a signature of BAPE’s design language since the mid-2000s.
• Premium Japanese Craftsmanship: Constructed from 100% heavyweight cotton, offering a structured fit and long-lasting quality.
• Monochromatic Colorway: The black base serves as the perfect canvas to highlight the vivid and aggressive Shark motif.
