The Nike Kobe 9 Elite Low Protro ‘Perspective’ (2025) marks the return of one of the most visually striking designs in the Kobe 9 lineage, celebrated for its bold artistry and technical sophistication. Rooted in the original 2014 colorway—famed for its vivid teal upper and expressive detailing inspired by artistic interpretation—the 2025 Protro edition brings back its iconic look while aligning with Nike’s established Protro approach of modernising performance features without altering the essence of the design.
Overview
The sneaker retains its instantly recognisable teal-dominant palette, complemented by the multicolour midsole graphic that made the original a standout within the Kobe 9 family. Its high-cut, Flyknit-based construction returns, along with key structural elements such as the carbon-fiber-supported heel for stability. True to Nike’s Protro philosophy—established through previous Kobe Protro models—this edition focuses on refining underfoot performance while preserving the silhouette and aesthetic that fans associate with the ‘Perspective’ name. While Nike has not released full technical specifications for the 2025 pair at the time of writing, the model follows the consistent Protro pattern of maintaining original design language with updated performance tooling.
Key Highlights
• Faithful Return of a Fan-Favourite Colorway: Brings back the original teal upper and signature multicolour midsole graphic from the 2014 Kobe 9 Elite Low ‘Perspective’.
• Premium Flyknit Construction: Retains the lightweight, supportive Flyknit build and carbon-fiber heel counter associated with the Kobe 9’s elite performance legacy.
• Protro Refinement Philosophy: Follows Nike’s established Protro approach—preserving the original design while incorporating updated performance enhancements aligned with the Protro series.
