Description

ASICS UB10-S GEL‑KAYANO 20 ‘Hunter Green Jade’ (2024) represents a thoughtful evolution of ASICS’ heritage performance silhouette through the visionary lens of Kiko Kostadinov Studio. Marrying technical prowess with avant‑garde design principles rooted in Japanese art and natural motifs, this collaboration transcends traditional sneaker culture to deliver a shoe that’s as compelling stylistically as it is functional. The Hunter Green Jade colourway expresses an earthy yet dynamic palette that nods to the organic inspirations behind its creation while offering a modern update to a classic running‑inspired profile.

Overview

Crafted in partnership with Kiko Kostadinov Studio and ASICS SportStyle, the UB10‑S GEL‑KAYANO 20 channels themes of Interlaced Assemblages, Functional Utopias, and Japanese Mino ceramics, infusing the design with layered textures and nuanced colour narratives that echo natural processes and handcrafted artistry. The Hunter Green Jade version features a double‑layer mesh upper in deep forest tones, accentuated with jade and vibrant yellow touches across the tongue, eyelets, heel clip, and lining — a bold interplay that brings visual energy to the design without compromising sophistication. Underfoot, the sneaker retains the GEL‑KAYANO 20’s signature GEL cushioning and GUIDANCE TRUSSTIC™ support system, ensuring advanced comfort, impact absorption, and stability that make it suitable for all‑day wear. By reimagining a performance classic through architectural aesthetics and contemporary fashion sensibilities, this edition stands as both a functional lifestyle sneaker and a collector’s piece within the Kiko Kostadinov x ASICS oeuvre.

Key Highlights

• Collaborative Design Vision: Aesthetic direction from Kiko Kostadinov Studio paired with ASICS SportStyle development for a sneaker that bridges art and athletic heritage.
• Striking Hunter Green Jade Palette: Deep forest mesh base with jade nuances and eye‑catching yellow accents for a fresh, balanced colourway.
• Advanced Comfort Technology: Dual GEL™ cushioning and GUIDANCE TRUSSTIC™ system for enhanced impact absorption and midfoot support.
